  Tell Me About Your Jehovah's Witness Mother...If You had One!

  so since no one picked up the ball, after my thread on "your jw father".....here we go.... my mother (bless her heart) was born in kansas in 1926....her mother died in 1934, when my mother was 8 years old.

  she died trying to give yourself an abortion with a coat hanger.

  it was the "great depression".....she was 34 years old 4 kids and a 5th on the way...my grandfather would blow through town just long enough to "knock her up" and leave....no money....no hope.

  More tidbits

  My mother and father had a "Parent Child relationship" My mother.....was "The Mother"...she had to take care of her brothers and sister after my grandmother killed herself.

  My father was the "little boy" oldest son of an Italian family he was spoiled rotten. Plus most Italians have a matriarahal society....the mother rins the whole show.

  So when they meet it was perfect....The big moma and the little kid.......It worked great all the way up to the time my father didn't want to be the little boy any more...

  Every wonder why marriages go up in smoke after 10, 20, 30 or more years....Its easy! One person decides to grow....and the other says "no way."

  "HAY...when we got married you said you wanted to be the little girl/little boy....what the hell is going on here?"

  Jehovah's Witnesses are not a cult and here's why I think so

  when most people think of "cult" they think of the people's temple, the branch davidians, or heaven's gate.

  many also want to put jehovah's witnesses, mormons, and scientologists into this group.

  i don't agree with that because there is one main difference between true cults and high-control groups like jws:.

  welome all..... i guess poping in on the board after missing a few months it is easier to note... i remember joining in 2002....we would get maybe 1-2 people a week?....now it seems we get that many people a day..if not more.. another way you can tell, is how many "post" are done in just a short time.

  it takes hardly anytime time to get your "thread" bumped to the next page.....job well done!.

  just another sign the cracks are going up the "witchtower".

  I guess poping in on the board after missing a few months it is easier to note..

  I remember joining in 2002....we would get maybe 1-2 people a week?....NOW it seems we get that many people a day..if not more.

  Another way you can tell, is how many "post" are done in just a short time. It takes hardly anytime time to get your "thread" bumped to the next page.....Job well done!

  i have been coming to this site to read news and your stories for about a year now, but have never posted due to my mortal fear of somehow being found out... i have family in as most of you do, who are all very sincerely convinced that they are on the path of light.. i have never been happy with the beliefs, mainly the doublespeak on the status of women, the hypocrisy, the dramatisation of the smallest of matters, and the general guilt trip that was my life until i stumbled across some hard evidence that my suspicions about 'gods channel' were well founded.

  unfortunately i am now addicted to turning over every piece of information i can find, there seems to be no end to the amount of $#*& below the surface.

  i will probably remain in this state for awhile, hungrily devouring all the information that makes me feel validated for my stand against much of the mindless rubbish that has gone around me during my life as a jw.

  Welcome my friend.

  About the C.O.....well no matter what you do it looks like lying is your only option.If you want to live in their world at all....what you really feel will not be respected.

  How sad....I refuse to lie now...but was forsed to...living in their world.

  So more tidbits

  My mother hated and distrusted men (I wonder why/sex abuse?) She hated my father, me and my 2 year old son. Loved my sister and my 5 year old daughter. The last thing she did before she died is buy my daughter 8 gifts and my son 1.

  She left my father many times. When school was over she would take us kids and live somewhere else, Kansas, Hawaii......thousands of miles away, a for three months. She would show back up right before school started again. Most the time she would never tell my father we were leaving. He would just come home from work one day and there would be a note on the table with his favorite home made pie.....The note would say "I'm leaving you.....you bastard."

  What a nut job.....This wonderful woman, is the same one that thought the Jehovah's Witness was a good idea.

  1. A particular system of religious worship, with referencee to its rites and ceremonies.

  2. A group that devotes itself to or venerates a person or idea, fad, ect.

  It may not be that way now, but Russell started the whole thing and he was definitly venerated.

  The Witnesses hate the word cult...but it is one.....They hate it when people misuse words...thats their privelege....like when they misuse the word apostate.

  My grandfather was the town bootlegger very much like Ryan O'Neil in the movie "Paper Moon."

  My mother got passed around to all my grandfather's "family members" to be their work slave/ sex servant.

  Enter the Jehovah's Witnesses 1952....With THE message of good news...."People are bad" the "World is Bad"...."Satan is controling everything" God is coming to kill everyone real....SOON!

  My mother......"Sign me up.....That is the best thing I have every heard!"

  My mother God bless her heart.....brought the poison of the Jehovah's Witnesses into our family...She died 24 years ago...in 1983, yet my family are still dealing with the effects of her choice of her religion...to this day!

  And the beat goes on!

  For those of you who don't go to meetings anymore...

  when you attended your last meeting ever as a dub, did you know it was your last?

  did something happen which made it clear in your mind you were 'never going back' (not to be confused with nvrgnbk)?.

  the last meeting we went to was the memorial in 2006. we only went because we knew we were already pegged for the elders' unwanted attention, so we had to go to keep them off our backs a little longer.

  Great thread by the way....

  No, I had no Idea it was my last meeting...my wife left me July 30th 2001. I thought she was going camping with friends...it turned out she wanted a permenant vacation from me....She called 3 days later to tell me she wasn't coming back until I got my additude straighted out about "the church"...

  I said "I can't do it any more....stay were your at"....

  So for me, I was keeping the "Sham" up all the way to the very end....I just gave up, I just couldn't do the lie anymore.....

  And my friends it is a lie.....50 years worth.

  To answer OUTLAW question I'm back.

  Thought I'd get this one out of the bone yard.

  I find it quite fasinating what people are willing to "Die" for and what they are willing to "Kill" for.

  Plus what they would be willing to have their kids die....and kill for...too.
